Do ADHD Symptoms Reflect Soul Blueprints?

October is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Awareness Month. The diagnosis of ADHD is based on a set of neurobehavioral symptoms, and the rate of diagnosis has increased 5% per year from 2003 to 2011 (NSCH survey). Why is that? The fundamental question to ask is: Do ADHD symptoms reflect soul blueprints?

What is a soul blueprint?

The ancient I Ching system describes 64 different “gates” (hexagrams) that we come to experience on this planet as individualized souls embodied in human vehicles (“costumes”).

  • In every incarnation, we choose to work on a “soul blueprint” made of 26 gates at the individual level. But we get exposed to all 64 gates at the collective level, since different people choose different gates to experience and learn from in every lifetime.
  • Each hexagram is made of six lines with specific combinations of yin (dark) and yang (light) lines, which is a binary code (0/1) corresponding to our genetic code (below).
  • The gates can be arranged in a circle to correspond to the 12 astrologic signs in the Human Design system (below). For example, today we are in Gate 48.5 of Wisdom.

In the I Ching system, the gates are thought to represent core human archetypes or states of “beingness” (i.e. thoughts, behaviors, actions) rather than a state of physicality as such.

  • Every gate describes a wide spectrum of consciousness that goes from the lowest lows (“shadows”) to the highest highs (“siddhis” or enlightened, higher frequency divine gifts).
  • For example, Gate 48 of Wisdom goes from the shadow of Inadequacy through the gift of Resourcefulness to the siddhi of Wisdom. That is its unique path of transformation.

We use these gates and their spectrum of frequencies to experience, learn and evolve within the physical universe, where duality is played out in many lifetimes in many creative ways.

What are the symptoms of ADHD?

According to David Rabiner, PhD (New diagnostic criteria for ADHD), the diagnosis of ADHD is based on clinical judgment of a certain number of neurobehavioral symptoms, that must be present for at least 6 months in two or more settings (e.g. home, school, work). He explained:

  • The symptoms may vary depending on the age of the individual (e.g. child, adolescent, adult). There must be clear evidence that they interfere with or reduce the quality of social, academic or occupational functioning. The severity is scored as mild, moderate or severe.
  • There are three presentations of ADHD called Predominantly Inattentive, Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive, or Combined — each has its characteristic set of symptoms.

Rabiner wrote: “There are many who believe that ADHD is simply a medical term inappro-priately attached to children who show largely ‘typical’ behavior.” In “Understanding Human Design,” Karen Curry noted that Gate 9 (Focus) is a crucial player in ADD-like behavior.

  • She said there is nothing wrong with these children. It’s just that their unique learning needs are not being met (see Karen’s Soapbox: ADD/ADHD or Normal?).
  • She asked: Is there really something “wrong” with one in three of our children? Or are we witnessing the evolution of our species? Maybe we need to change how we educate them?

She believes that some “attention deficit” and “hyperactive” type behaviors can be explained by examination of children’s Human Design charts. Many have common elements in their design.

  • For example, many children diagnosed with ADHD have “open minds” (open Head and Ajna centers). They’re open to receiving or absorbing energy and information from the people around them, which makes them great mind readers and often wise and intuitive.
  • Imagine a child with an open mind in a large classroom. All the mental energy surrounding them can easily distract them and make them forget what they’re supposed to focus on.

Their hyperactivity may relate to an open Root center, a motor center driven by adrenaline.

  • In a classroom setting, a child with an open Root takes in all the adrenaline energy of the class and amplifies it. They feel a rush of pressure and want to move or run unexpectedly, because they’re driven by an amplified motor and need to release that energy.

Here is a Table with a partial list of ADHD symptoms that relate to specific gates in a soul blueprint, as expressed through three different frequency levels (click to enlarge):

  • The Shadow frequency represents the victim patterns expressed through fear (repressed) or anger (reactive) states. Most of humanity operates at this level.
  • The Gift frequency is reached when we no longer identify ourselves as victims. We can develop and apply our creative gifts instead.
  • The Siddhi or divine gift frequency is reached after enlightenment or spiritual realization.

Note: Based on Richard Rudd’s nomenclature (“Gene Keys”). These are just a few of the many gates that relate to ADHD symptoms through the gate itself, or the energy channel it creates with a harmonic gate, or the energy center that it is located in. It’s all to do with energy.

Final Thoughts

I hope this piece helps you see ADHD from a totally new perspective. It’s not a “deficit” but a different “design” to take in, process and handle energy and information on our world. These individuals are not “disabled” but higher frequency beings with potentially more access to higher functions (see What Is the Energetic Basis Of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder? – Big Picture Questions.com).

The I Ching teaching was given to humanity thousands of years ago, long before we discovered genetics or psychotherapy. It has been updated and modified by newer teachings, such as Human Design and Gene Keys in our day. We need to integrate the old with the new for a more holistic approach to things.

Clearly, we need to change the way we assess and educate these newer, higher frequency children (labeled as ADHD, autistic, indigo, crystal, rainbow, hybrids, etc.), whose needs among other things may include individualized instruction, smaller classrooms with like students, ways to discharge the amplified energy from their system, and ways to cope with their “openness” to the world around them.

They are here to help the rest of us gradually evolve to higher frequencies. Their numbers will continue to increase over time. The sooner we increase our own frequencies and have a better understanding of ourselves and others, the easier life will become for them as well.

Vive la différence! 🙂
