What Are the Frequencies Of Love?

Here is a new post on Love, Sexuality and Relationships that I wanted to publish just in time for Valentine’s Day, since Love is one of the three forces we’re trying to master here as incarnate beings. This one is called: “What are the Frequencies of Love?”

What are the Frequencies of Love?

The ancient Greeks had at least seven words for Love, some of which are illustrated below:

Here is a brief description of each type of Love recognized by the Greeks:

  1. Eros (erotic, passionate, intense love) catalyzed by the physical body. It is centered around physical pleasure and infatuation that tends to burn out quickly without a deeper love bond between the individuals.
  2. Philia (friendship or affectionate love) catalyzed by the mental body. It is a love between equals, such as platonic love without physical attraction. It is a seen among loyal friends, teammates, etc. as dispassionate virtuous love.
  3. Ludus (playful love, casual love, falling in love) catalyzed by the emotional body. It is seen in young lovers with a childlike innocence and affection expressed as flirting, teasing and having fun with each other.
  4. Agape (selfless love, spiritual, universal or unconditional love) catalyzed by Spirit. It is bigger than any one person with empathy, compassion, generosity or loving kindness (metta) towards others.
  5. Pragma (enduring love) that has aged or developed over time as seen in mature couples, whose love has transcended the casual love because of effort on both sides. The couple has learned patience, tolerance, understanding and cooperation and share deeper values. They have trust and respect for each other.
  6. Philautia (self-love), which is healthy love of self, self-empowerment, self-preservation, self-identity rather than narcissism or egotism. It is catalyzed by the soul in the soul seat.
  7. Storge (familiar love, kinship type love, not shown) is a love without physical attraction that grows gradually out of friendship. It flows naturally between parents and their children or between siblings, spouses, cousins, etc. It is also found among childhood friends that stay connected as adults.

Where do these types of Love come from?

They don’t come out of nowhere, because they are part of our Source and multiverse. That’s why they are also part of our human design with various energy channels connecting the energy centers in our body (below).

  • This figure shows the different channels for individual (pink), tribal (orange) and collective (yellow) waves that influence how we work with the frequencies we identify as different types of Love experiences (click to enlarge).

Here is a Table that summarizes the functions of these energy channels that influence different types of sexual, love or relationship behaviors (below, click to enlarge).

This is a very human perspective on Love, which is a much bigger force than any of us realize. You may have chosen to explore one or more of these love channels as part of the human experience in addition to the pathways discussed previously (see What Supports Tribal Bonding and Security? – Big Picture Questions.com & What Is In Our Soul Seat vs. Ego Seat? – Big Picture Questions.com).

Final Thoughts

It is interesting to reflect upon the different types of love we can play out in human form as individuals, groups and collectives. But it is just as important to remember the Oneness that is the foundation of all creative play for our individuated (differentiated) souls.

We are expressions or extensions of our Source (Source Entity One/SE1/God), which is an extension of The Origin (Absolute/The One). All relationships are reflections of The Origin, which is finding new ways to experience, learn and evolve its sentience through us.

We are simply the Origin’s and God’s Love incarnate.

That’s why it may be helpful or more expansive for us to view Love as an “umbrella of Love” with many different frequencies, each with a unique identification or unique signature, as noted by Jonathan Wilk. He said the umbrella of Love includes any way or any word that describes a way that two individuals can interact in a loving way.

Many of these frequencies are very familiar to us — we know it, when we see or feel kindness, compassion, empathy, tenderness, nurturing, generosity, intimacy, joy, excitement, trustworthiness, honesty, beauty and more (see What Are Siddhis Or Divine Gifts? – Big Picture Questions.com & What Are the 21 Sub-Laws Of the Universe? – Big Picture Questions.com).

We are being given plenty of opportunities to practice these Love frequencies in all their splendor, since we are in the midst of an evolutionary shift that is bringing out the best and the worst of people mired in polarity warring or extreme human behaviors. That is what we are called to do right now.

Find the love within and in everybody you encounter. Spread the frequency of Love, take it with you to wherever you go or whoever you meet. That’s how we will transform each other, our families, neighborhoods and global communities. Together we can amplify these divine gift frequencies and project them in the outer world to unify us all from within by connecting one heart to another.

Here is a beautiful poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, who said it best:

“God’s gifts put man’s best dreams to shame.”
