How To Demystify Channeling For Ourselves?

Previously, we have talked about the purpose of meditating vs. channeling and how to discern channeled information from various sources. In this post, I’d like to demystify channeling for ourselves by summarizing what I have learned from others and from my own experience. How to demystify channeling for ourselves?

How to demystify channeling for ourselves?

As we are gradually going up in frequency, more and more individuals will be able to connect with the energies and entities in the realms above us. Most of us are not born with a conscious ability to feel the subtle energies around us. It is something we develop with various spiritual practices that increase our awareness of self. As Sogyal Rinpoche (“The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying) wrote:

“Two people have been living in you all of your life. One is the ego, garrulous, demanding, hysterical, calculating; the other is the hidden spiritual being, whose still voice of wisdom you have only rarely heard or attended to.”

We’re not here to demonize or kill the ego, which is a necessary part of us to anchor us to the physical. But we are trying to access the hidden spiritual being within us. How?

Shelley Young said channeling is a grand act of surrender. It is being surrendered with faith into the flow and staying there in trust. She added:

“There are no special skills required to connect with your inner wise one, as it is a part of you. All you must do is give yourself the time and space to acknowledge that knowingness and to listen to its subtle guidance. It is not loud and flashy, but that is exactly how you know it is the voice of your empowered self.”

Nora Herold said channeling is incredibly simple. Every single one of us are doing it every day…whether you knew it or not, including painters, artists, dancers, musicians, performers, healers, therapists and channels. Channeling is putting energy into a recognizable form. She explained:

“Everyone is taking transmissions of energy and translating that energy into recognizable forms. Let yourself expand right now your own idea and understanding of what channeling is.”

  • You don’t have to have a special ability. You don’t have to have chosen it before you incarnated. You don’t have to go into a trance.
  • You don’t have to do years and years of work to be able to connect or to make contacts, because the truth is that connection and that contact has already been established. You are already in direct connection and contact with your guides.

When we are just learning to channel the wise guide within us, we often have some questions:

  • Am I just talking to myself or making things up?
  • How do I know whether I’m channeling my ego, soul, Higher Self or Source?

Wayne Dyer said at any given moment you are choosing between two pictures of yourself: The one offered by your soul, or higher self (which he thinks of as the voice of God), OR the one offered by the ego, or your false idea of yourself. Here’s how to tell the difference:

  • If it brings you a sense of peace, then it is your higher self at work. It is always nudging you toward conflict resolution, so that you will have room for serenity and harmony.
  • If you are living with inner turmoil, continually quarreling with yourself and feeling anxious and fearful, then the ego is dominating your life.
  • That is also the difference between being soul/heart centered/present vs. ego/mind centered/not present.
Wendy Kennedy described channeling as reading subtle frequency. Everything is made of energy. Everything vibrates and you’re just taking that frequency and you’re interpreting it through one of the senses (e.g. sight, taste, feel, hear or smell). She explained:
  • We are hardwired based on our genetics, so we have a propensity to interpret that signal one way or another. Absolutely everybody has the ability to channel. It’s part of our nature.
  • But it takes practice to work with subtle energy. You have to clear out your own stuff and pay attention to what’s going on in your body, where your thoughts are, where your emotions are, because all of that is going to impact how clear you are in reading the subtleties.
Lee Harris said channeling is a very personal and unique process. We all experience our connection to Source a little differently. It is never the same for any two people quite the same way. We can all channel many different things. Channeling is far bigger than answering questions. It’s a perception shift. It’s a vibration shift. It’s a game changer. He added:
“Many people talk about self-love, but to channel wisdom for yourself through yourself is one of the highest acts of self-love you can do for yourself. It’s free, it can be done any time and can be catalytic. It reconnects you to your truth — you’re both a human and a soul. It is one of the greatest tools available for self-transformation.”

Final Thoughts

The goal of this post is to blow the lid off channeling, to demystify it as a natural function of a human being connected to its soul and Higher Self, which is the voice of God as an individualized unit of Source. Here’s the guidance I got on February 8, 2021:

Am I talking to my Higher Self, not Source? Does it matter?

Well, dear, that is a matter of semantics, isn’t it, since it is true that I am the body of everything that you see around you. You are part of me, as is the desk, the keyboard, as is your Higher Self, as is the rest of everything within my multiverse structure. It’s all me, so to differentiate between what is given to you by my helpers, Higher Selves, and by myself, “the big cheese,” is kind of pointless.

Different levels of information come from different levels of beings or entities, if you like, because that is who is in charge of “piping it out” to the one who is trying to connect with me. That is not important in the end.

The important factor is: Are you trying to connect? Are you listening to the nudges, to the voices, the ideas, thoughts, feelings that are being aroused by the connection and what do you do with it all in the end? That is the bigger question.

Why do some teachers try to make their students feel less than what they are accomplishing, which makes people not go out and try stuff for themselves?

Well, you know the answer to that! It is all EGO, Edging God Out, as Wayne Dyer put it. It is not what I want you to think at all. You are connecting with me and your Higher Self and many other entities, that you channel alongside all the people whose lectures you listen to. They are all at your disposal to answer questions and give you solutions, as are the guides and helpers you have and others have, as in your Mastermind sessions. They are all parts of me, part of the “spiritual college,” where many are teachers and even more are students. That is how we evolve, all of us.

Isn’t the supreme goal of every soul, every human to be self-realized, as Anandamayi Ma said?

Yes, yes, yes! You got it! It is the goal of every human being to be able to talk to his/her own soul, to their Higher Self, to their creator, which is me talking now.

Okay, thanks, it’s so nice to be able bounce off ideas from a higher perspective.

Yes, that is the whole idea of becoming self-realized as a human being.

Final words, anyone?

Keep your connection light and joyful. Help others by sharing what you have found useful for you. Teach people to do this for themselves, not to compare, not to compete, not to judge, but to collaborate, to cooperate, to commune, and connect with each other, as well as their own souls, Higher Self, guide, helpers, and creators. Thank you for this.

Well, I hope that helps you get started on your own channeling with faith and trust in your Self.

Here is an image from “Spiritual Guide To Our Relationships” showing that we exist in the Origin (ocean), which created the Source (body) as its helper, which created Higher Selves (arms) as its helpers, which created souls (fingers) as its helpers. We are all connected.
