Is There Something Beyond God?

In the previous post, we explored what “emptiness” or pure awareness may be like when we’re connected at the level of our True Energetic Self (Higher Self/Oversoul) vs. God (Source). Now to complete the picture, we’ll go a notch higher to explore: Is there something beyond God?

In a recent lecture (World Satsanga), Guy Needler described the difference between Self-realization and God-realization, which could be summarized in this way:

Self-realization is being able to communicate at will with one’s True Energetic Self (TES) while still incarnate. It’s about having access to all that the TES experiences and knows.
God-realization is moving beyond the TES, and moving beyond the initial bliss state to be in intelligent communion, communication, or dialogue with the Source.

Both states must be experienced to effect realization or communication at TES or Source level. But there is another leap beyond that, something beyond God in Needler’s experience.

In that instance, you move again through a different level of bliss state, and a completely different level of disassociation from that which you are, and you move into this great vast sea of everythingness, of Absoluteness.
The Hindus called that which was beyond God the Absolute. The Absolute is the Origin.

So moving beyond God to the Origin/Absolute, we experience again this wave of energy, this completely different state of immersive content, that can again stop us from moving beyond that, and communicating with the Origin, which is Origin-realization or Origin awareness.

How many people progress beyond God?

In “Paramahansa Yogananda As I Knew Him: Experience, Observation, and Reflections of a Disciple,” Roy Eugene Davis asked Yogananda the question: How many of the saints (or great gurus and yogis) move beyond God?

Yogananda said not many. He said they get stuck in the bliss state and don’t move past it.
Yogananda knew that there was something beyond God. But he also knew that only a few individuals would go past that in the world, and only a few individuals would be able to work with it in the world, so he only taught to a certain level, according to Needler.
He realized that incarnate mankind can only cope with certain levels of understanding and of communication at any one time.

Needler observed that by the end of Yogananda’s lifetime (1893-1952), we were at a different evolutionary state whilst being incarnate. There was probably only Yogananda and one or two others, who could communicate with the Origin at that point. He added:

Origin awareness is achievable only by handfuls of people, since it’s also a function of the evolutionary level of the True Energetic Self (see Where Do Human and Other Souls Come From? – Big Picture Questions.com).
But now 64 years later, we are at a higher frequential state. So it is possible for those who are super dedicated, and who make it their life’s work to move beyond that which is God, to communicate with the Origin, as Needler has done (see “The Origin Speaks”).

Final Thoughts

It’s hard for most of us to imagine what communion with the Origin may be like, because it is a vast polyomniscient sentient entity continuously assimilating the experiences of all 12 Source Entities, their creations (like our TES), and their creations (our souls/shards).

Needler said he’s giving a very poor description using human terms to tell the difference between Self-realization, God-realization and Origin-realization. But we can get the feel of it in his brilliant book, “The Origin Speaks.” Also in “Beyond the Source, Book 2,” he described what it feels like to be in the most wise, most loving and most powerful part of the Origin, where every experience is contained:

“It is full holographic understanding in every way, shape and form. There is no question that is unanswered. There is no experience that doesn’t have a meaning behind it.
